Release Date: October 4, 2019
From the Suicide Squad to Thanos, we’ve seen the villains pushing the heroes aside to take the spotlight and now it’s time for us to see the origin story of the most infamous villain of them all.
The upcoming film stars Joaquin Phoenix as Joker and will be separate from the larger DC universe. With a lower budget than other DC films, Joker will also be more of a character study that dives deep into the personality and origins of the villain. Warner Bros. even describes the movie as “an exploration of a man disregarded by society that is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale”.
The film will be set in the 80s and features the Clown Prince of Crime when he was a struggling comedian known as Arthur Fleck.

Spider-Man: Far From Home will have the spidey gang traveling far from home to Venice, Italy where we’ll see a fun romance sparking between Peter Parker and Michelle. Eventually, though, the trip will be interrupted by Nick Fury as he shoots a tranquilizer dart at Ned and recruits Peter to help him fight “the Elementals”.
We’ll also see Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio joining Spider-Man to fight Hydro-Man, a new villain that emerges from the waters of Venice to attack the city and cause chaos and destruction. You can also expect to see Spider-Man’s new black stealth suit and Mysterio’s iconic armor as they take on evil.
However, according to fans that got an exclusive look at the movie’s trailer, there is no mention of Infinity War or the decimation of half the universe during Spider-Man: Far From Home.
